FYI I played the outfield for the Amarilllo Gold Sox in 1955, I was injured sliding into second(ankle) and only played about 70 games. The Gold Sox won the pennant that year and a couple of pitchers, Marshall Bridges( Yankees) and Rudy Arias( White Sox) went on to the major leagues. A personnal highlight was hitting two home runs in one inning against the Albuquerque Dukes , one off a right hander and the other off left hander, the second one game winner.
