Talk:Al Oliver
From BR Bullpen
I don't know if he will make the HOF, but it's nice for him to get a second chance, anyway! -- David -- 20:55 CST, 18 Feb. 2007
Would Oliver be considered a "major star"? An excellent hitter, for sure, but in my mind, "major star" would be reserved for those such as Reggie Jackson, Johnny Bench, and maybe Oliver's teammate Willie Stargell. Is my criteria too high? Anyone else have any thoughts? -Chisoxfan 08:23, 15 June 2009 (EDT)
I wouldn't say major star. When with Pittsburgh, the major star was Stargell and maybe Dave Parker. - --Mischa 08:35, 15 June 2009 (EDT)
Since you're from Pittsburgh, I value your opinion on this one. I'm changing the wording. Congrats on the Pens, by the way. -Chisoxfan 23:43, 15 June 2009 (EDT)
My wife's office is downtown and she's seen Super Bowl and Stanley Cup victory parades already this year. Too bad World Series is unlikely. - --Mischa 08:00, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
