Takashi Kurosu (黒須隆)

Takashi Kurosu was a member of the Japanese national team for five major events. He spent his playing career in the industrial leagues with Nissan Motor Company, not making it to Nippon Pro Baseball.
Kurosu was 3 for 7 with 4 walks and 5 runs in the 1994 Baseball World Cup, backing up Hideaki Okubo behind the plate. He backed up Okubo in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, going 4 for 15 with a triple and winning a Silver Medal. In the 1996 Olympics, he went 0 for 3 for the Silver Medal winners, again backing up Okubo. In the Gold Medal game, he pinch-hit for Yasuyuki Saigo and struck out against Pedro Luis Lazo late in the contest.
In the 1997 Intercontinental Cup, Kurosu went 1 for 2 with a walk, triple and 2 runs. In the 2001 Baseball World Cup, he was 0 for 3 as the backup to Shinnosuke Abe in his final stint with the national team.
