Tae-hoon Im was the Korea Baseball Organization Rookie of the Year in 2007. The #1 draft pick of the Doosan Bears, he was 7-3 with a save and 20 holds in 64 games, posting a 2.40 ERA in his first season. He was the only reliever in the Korea Baseball Organization to top 100 innings (101 1/3) and struck out 93. He allowed only two homers and 77 hits. Had he qualified, he would have ranked second in ERA to Danny Rios, his teammate and the league MVP.
Im was on the original Korean roster for the 2008 Olympics but was replaced by Suk-min Yoon shortly before the Games as Lim had struggled in his 6 outings preceding the Olympics.
