Tack Wilson was briefly in the majors, hitting .333 and slugging .500. In the minors, he played for two great teams, the 1978 Visalia Oaks and the 1981 Albuquerque Dukes.

The 1978 Visalia Oaks went 97-42. Wilson hit .349, third in the league in batting. His teammate Joe Charboneau won the batting championship.

For the Dukes, he hit .315 with 10 triples in 96 games. The team went 94-38, and featured such names as Mike Marshall, Candy Maldonado, Ted Power, Rudy Law and Jack Perconte.

After his playing days, Wilson was a minor league coach in the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Chicago White Sox organizations. In 2006-2008(?), he was the hitting coach for the Charlotte Knights.
