The Swing of the Quad Cities of the Midwest League have been a St. Louis Cardinals affiliate since 2005. The club, which began play in 1960, has been known as the Swing since 2004. Prior to that, they operated under various names, most notably the Quad City River Bandits and Quad City Angels. For their entire existence, the team has played its home games in Davenport, Iowa at John O'Donnell Stadium (known as Municipal Stadium prior to 1971).
Following the 2007 season, the club became known as the River Bandits once more.
