Surprise Stadium was funded on the same 2000 ballot initiative as the Arizona Cardinals' municpally owned football stadium. In the Winter, Surprise Stadium is home to the Grand Canyon Rafters of the Arizona Fall League as well as hosting the Arizona State University's Coca Cola Classic NCAA tournament.
