The Superior Bays were the only member of the class E Twin Ports League not based in Duluth, MN. They were 11-7 and in first place when the league disbanded on July 13, 1943. Verl Westergaard (3-1, 2.25) led the league in ERA and strikeouts (56 in 44 innings) while Ed Anderson (4-3, 2.77) was second in ERA and tied for first in wins with another teammate, R.E. Connolly (4-2, 4.40). The Bays also produced the league leader in steals, RBI and runs, 2B John P. Schroeder (.375/~.483/.444, 21 R, 23 RBI, 10 SB).
