There were two other players named "Daly" in the National League that year, but neither is listed as a relative of Sun Daly.

He made one sportswriter's "All Time Meteorological Team", along with Curt Flood, Tim Raines, J.T. Snow, and others.
He is one of only 36 players (as of 2007) born in Vermont, and one of only two born in Rutland, VT, with the other being Harry Hulihan.
