Sugar Cain pitched seven years in the majors, winning 53 games. He won 15 in 1936 and 13 in 1933.
He was in the minors starting in 1930 and ending in 1943. In 1932 he went 16-5 for Baltimore.
Cain makes the "all crop team" along with Zack Wheat, Mack Wheat, Lee Wheat, Johnny Oates, Cotton Tierney, and Gene Rye.
He managed the 1948 Vidalia-Lyons Twins.
