[edit] Biographical Information
Strick Shofner played several games for the 1947 Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox tried eight players at third base that year, with Sam Dente's 46 games at the position being the most of any one player. The following year Johnny Pesky won the job.
In 1948 Shofner played for the San Francisco Seals.
Some references refer to him as "Frank Shofner".
