Steve Rain pitched 53 games for the Chicago Cubs and also pitched 10 years in the minors and in independent ball.
In 1995 in the Midwest League, he had 23 saves with an ERA of 1.21. In 1999 in the Southern League, he had 24 saves with an ERA of 1.59.
Rain would make the "all weather" team, with players such as J.T. Snow, Storm Davis and Roy Weatherly.
