Steve Pegues, who hit .361 in 18 games in the majors in 1994 and came back for 171 more at-bats in 1995, had some great minor league stops.

With Fayetteville for part of the 1989 season, he hit .309. With London for part of the 1991 season, he hit .301. In 1993 with Las Vegas in 68 games, he hit .352 and slugged .563. With Richmond in 1996 in 52 games, he hit .341 and slugged .539. In 1998 with Colorado Springs for 24 games, he hit .333.

Although he didn't usually show a lot of power, he hit triples well and stole some bases, with a peak of 22 stolen bases in 1989.

In 1992 in the Arizona Fall League, he set the record with 68 hits.

Pegues was a first round draft pick in 1987.
