Steve Partenheimer was at Amherst College from 1910-13 and by late June 1913 he was in the majors. He played third base in one game for the 1913 Tigers.
The regular third baseman for the team that year was George Moriarty.
Partenheimer's son Stan was a pitcher.
Father of Stan Partenheimer and minor league Hal Partenheimer.
