Steven Kent has pitched only one year in the majors, but appeared in 34 games that year. Through 2009, he is one of relatively few pitchers listed as born in West Germany.
During 2009 he pitched part of the season for Newark.
He attended Florida International University, and was the only pitcher from that university to break into the majors in the period 1997-2006.
