[edit] Biographical Information

Steve Karsay originally signed a letter of intent with Louisiana State University prior to being selected 22nd overall drain the 1990 amateur draft and being handed a $325,000 signing bonus by the Toronto Blue Jays. Once in the minors, Karsay appeared in only 5 games (23 innings with an ERA of 0.79) for the St. Catharines Blue Jays in 1990 before being named the New York-Penn League's best pitching prospect.
