[edit] Biographical Information

Steve Behel played two seasons in the majors. Most of his at-bats were with the 1886 New York Metropolitans, with whom he is listed as a regular although he appeared in only 59 of their 135 games.

Behel was born in Earlville, IL, 80 miles west of Chicago, in 1860. He lived a long life, dying in Los Angeles, CA in 1945.
