Pitcher Steve Wilson was signed as a 4th round pick in the 1985 amateur draft by the Texas Rangers and scout Jack Hays. Wilson played for Team Canada in the 1983 Intercontinental Cup and 1984 Olympics.
Wilson later was Pacific Rim scouting director for the Chicago Cubs.
