George M. Steinbrenner Field, named after the late owner of the New York Yankees is a ballpark located in Tampa, Florida. It was built in 1996 and has a capacity of 10,200 people. It is the home stadium of the Tampa Yankees of the Florida State League and the Gulf Coast Yankees of the Gulf Coast League. It is also the spring training home of the New York Yankees. It was known as Legends Field from 1996-2007 and underwent major renovations before the 2017 season. The $40 million project included new lounges, cabanas and pavilions, an updated main entrance and a two-story gift shop.
