Wisconsin native Stan Sperry spent eleven seasons in professional baseball from 1933 to 1943.

Stan spent twenty games with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1936 and was with the Philadelphia Athletics for sixty games in 1938. He hit for a combined .250 big league average.

The infielder spent his minor league career with eight teams, appearing in 1,100 games and hitting at a .306 average.

After baseball, Stan was a deputy for the Rock County, Wisconsin, sheriff's department, and later operated a restaurant and tavern in Evansville, WI. Sperry died after a brief illness on September 27, 1962 in Evansville, WI. He was 48 years of age.
