From 1986 through 1994, the St. Catharines Blue Jays were the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. In '95, the team changed its name to the St. Catharines Stompers. In 2000 Toronto moved their NY-P team out of St. Catharines, ending a fairly long association for a short-season class A team.
