The Springfield Cardinals are the AA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals in the Texas League. They began play in 2005 when the El Paso Diablos relocated to Springfield, MO. They play their home games at John Q. Hammons Field.
They are not to be confused with the Springfield (OH) Cardinals that competed in the Middle Atlantic League from 1941-1942, or the Springfield (IL) Cardinals in the Midwest League from 1982-1993.
