[edit] Biographical Information
Pitcher Donald "Spin" Williams played in the Pittsburgh Pirates chain from 1979 to 1981 and was a member of the Pirates coaching staff from 1994 to 2005. In June 2009, he became pitching coach of the Syracuse Chiefs when Steve McCatty was promoted to the Washington Nationals.
In 2011, Williams was named the Nationals' minor league pitching coordinator.
