Sonny Senerchia had 100 at-bats for the 1952 Pittsburgh Pirates, a team which lost 112 games. He had been at Montclair State University in 1950-52.
His obituary says Senerchia was a noted jazz musician who appeared at Carnegie Hall at age 10, and also played with Pearl Bailey and other celebrities. He was also a concert violinist who appeared with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. He coached baseball at the high school and college levels. He was also a race car driver.
He died in an accident while riding his motorcycle.
