[edit] Biographical Information
Snapper Kennedy was going to be the 1902 Orphans shortstop but came up with a sore arm, so manager Frank Selee asked third baseman Joe Tinker to move over to shortstop. Kennedy ended up getting into one major league game, that one in the outfield.
In terms of minor league play, there were two people named Snapper Kennedy who played around the same period, so one has to be careful with references. This Snapper Kennedy seems to have played, at least, from 1897 to 1906, and may well have been named after the other Snapper.
