Skip Pitlock had one career complete game. It came on August 3, 1970 as a member of the San Francisco Giants against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He gave up 4 hits, 2 unearned runs, walked 2 and struck out 9. It wasn't a good day for Pitlock at the plate as he was 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts. He struck out in 18 of his 25 career at bats, but he did hit a home run in his next start on August 8, 1970 against the Houston Astros. The opposing pitcher was Wade Blasingame.
