Shunta Goto was the first-round draft pick of the Orix Buffaloes in 2010. On Opening Day, 2011, he hit 9th and started in right field for Orix, only a month after his 18th birthday. Goto went 0 for 2 with a strikeout against Tsuyoshi Wada before Mike Hessman pinch-hit for him.
