[edit] Biographical Information

Shawn Riggans was on the Tampa Bay Rays' roster for the entire 2008 Postseason but was the only player on the team not to be used in a single game, as Dioner Navarro played every inning behind the plate. He had been Navarro's back-up during the last part of the regular season, going to bat 135 times in 44 games and showing good power, with 7 doubles and 6 home runs for a respectable .407 slugging percentage in spite of a low batting average and on-base percentage.
