Shaw Buck was a minor league infielder who played in 1932, from 1936 to 1941, and from 1946 to 1947. He managed for part of the 1937 and 1946 seasons.
Over the course of his nine-year career, he hit .270 with 16 home runs in 555 games. He had over 100 hits once in a season - 1936 - in which he had 135 hits, 25 doubles, eight triples and five home runs.
He managed the Palatka Azaleas for part of the 1937 season, replacing Sam Agnew. He managed the West Palm Beach Indians in 1946, replacing Herb Thomas and being replaced by Harry Hughes.
