Shane Keough is the son of Matt Keough, grandson of Marty Keough, and grand-nephew of Joe Keough. He was drafted in the 36th round of the 2005 amateur draft by the Oakland A's. Although a shortstop in high school, Keough debuted as an outfielder for the 2007 Vancouver Canadians, hitting .214/.299/.299 with 68 strikeouts in 187 AB.
Keough has appeared on the Bravo show The Real Housewives of Orange County. His mother is one of the featured housewives.
