Sendy Rleal made his major league debut with the 2006 Orioles, seeing regular action out of the bullpen in the first half of the season. In 2007, split between two minor league teams, he had a record of 5-3 in 33 games.
Rleal was signed by the Baltimore Orioles at age 19. He debuted in 1999 with the DSL Orioles, going 4-3 with a 3.47 ERA. He split 2000 between the Bluefield Orioles (6-2, 3.39) and Delmarva Shorebirds (0-1, 10.80). He was 10th in the Appalachian League in ERA. In 2001, Rleal was back in Delmarva for a full year and had a 3-6 record despite a 3.57 ERA, a .207 opponent average and a WHIP barely over one. In his third year at Delmarva, he fell to 1-0 with one save and a 6.10 ERA while being converted to relief. He allowed a .317 average.
Despite his struggles of a year earlier, Rleal was up to the Frederick Keys for 2003. The right-hander had a 3-5 record with 11 saves and a 3.16 ERA. Opponents only hit .176 and he fanned over a batter per inning. He was second on the club in saves. With the AA Bowie Baysox in 2004, Sendy had a 4-0 record, 3 saves and a 2.66 ERA. He had 60 strikeouts to 12 walks in 47 1/3 IP.
In 2005, the Dominican returned to Bowie and posted a 4-4 record with 16 saves and a 2.04 ERA. He allowed just a .187 average and struck out over a batter per inning with a K:BB ratio of 4.17:1.
Rleal spent most of the year with the 2006 Orioles, going 1-1 with a 4.44 ERA, before a demotion to the Ottawa Lynx, where he struggled, going 2-2 with a 6.65 ERA and .315 opponent average. In 2007, Rleal was 5-3 with a save and a 3.40 ERA for Bowie and allowed one run in five innings for Frederick.
Sendy then hit the independent league circuit. He went 6-5 with a 5.32 ERA for the 2008 Lancaster Barnstormers and 3-2 with a 3.65 ERA for the 2009 Newark Bears.
Rleal debuted for Taiwan's Sinon Bulls on March 28, 2010, allowing 5 hits and 4 runs in 2 1/3 IP in a no-decision. It would be his only game in Taiwan as the Bulls released him to sign Lindsay Gulin.
