Scott Service pitched 12 seasons in the majors, almost exclusively as a reliever. He was with nine different major league teams, including twice with Cincinnati. He also pitched briefly for Chunichi in Japan in 1991.
He was additionally the property of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates for a while, but never came to the majors with them.
He is not to be confused with his contemporary Scott Servais.
