[edit] Biographical Information
Scott Seabol reappeared in the big leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2005 after a 4-year absence. He played 59 games with a .219 batting average. A former farmhand of the New York Yankees, Seabol was one of the lowest-drafted players to make it to the Major Leagues: he was an 88th round pick in the 1996 amateur draft. After putting up some good numbers in the minors, he made the Yankees opening day roster in 2001, but was sent back down after a single plate appearance.
Seabol was the PCL All-Star 3B after driving in over 100 runs in 2007. He signed with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp for 2008, hoping to fill the gap left by Takahiro Arai when he left via free agency.
