Scott Pose won the 1992 Southern League batting title with a .342 average for the Chattanooga Lookouts. He also led the league in at-bats, runs, hits and OBP that season.
He was the first batter to come to the plate in the history of the Florida Marlins, in his major league debut in 1993. He reached on an error by Jody Reed.
He played the role of New York Yankees outfielder "Matt Crane" in the 1999 movie For the Love of the Game.
