Scat Metha appeared one season in the big leagues for 26 games. He was up with the 1940 Detroit Tigers, which won the pennant that year.
Scat, primarily a second baseman, came up while Charlie Gehringer ruled the position.
Scat previously had played in the Texas League and was a base-stealer.
