Nin was traded as part of a 3-team trade that took place on December 14, 2003. The Colorado Rockies sent Justin Speier to the Toronto Blue Jays. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays sent Joe Kennedy to the Rockies. The Blue Jays sent a player to be named later to the Rockies. The Blue Jays sent Mark Hendrickson to the Devil Rays. The Blue Jays sent Nin to the Rockies to complete the trade the next day. After his career ended, he was a Florida Marlins scout. He signed Jhan Marinez.
