Sandy Consuegra went 1-1 with a 3.44 ERA as Cuba's worst hurler in the 1943 Amateur World Series, when they won Gold; he was 2 for 7 as a hitter. Conseugra was 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA in the 1944 Amateur World Series. He also was 1 for 2 at the plate.
