The Senadores de San Juan have played in San Juan. They were a top team for many years in the Puerto Rican League, winning titles in 1946, 1952, 1961, 1964, 1985, 1990, 1994 and 1995.
Notable players have included Luis Arroyo, Bryan Harvey, Lonnie Smith, Edgar Martinez, Carlos Baerga, Hector Villanueva and Carlos Delgado. In 1994-1995, they fielded a team including Delgado, Bernie Williams, Martinez, Juan Gonzalez, Roberto Alomar, Carlos Baerga and Ruben Sierra. That club led them to the 1995 Caribbean Series title, surprisingly their first-ever Caribbean Series pennant.
