Sal Madrid played in eight games for the 1947 Cubs.
Madrid started professionally at age 17 in 1937 but came into his own in 1940-41 with Yakima, hitting over .300 both years. In 1946-47 he played for Tulsa.
After his professional days he lived in Fort Wayne, IN and played semi-pro ball there.
