Saginaw-Bay City Hyphens
From BR Bullpen
In 1890, the International Association only had five teams as the start of the season loomed. A team was formed in Saginaw, MI and Bay City, MI as the Saginaw-Bay City Hyphens. The cobbled-together club did surprisingly well, going 32-20 and mere percentage points behind the first place Detroit Wolverines when the IA folded on July 7. Managed by Malcolm McArthur, the club featured the league's doubles leader, 2B Frank Day (.261, 23 SB in 46 games, .352 SLG).
