Ryan Nye, a second-round pick in the 1994 amateur draft, pitched five games in the majors for the Philadelphia Phillies.
He was at Texas Tech University at the same time as Matt Miller and Travis Smith. From 1994-96 in the minors, he had a record of 32-13.
With the Phillies, he was a couple years older than Scott Rolen.
He spent parts of four seasons in the minors with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons of the International League.
