The son of big league coach Oscar Acosta, pitcher Ryan Acosta was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 12th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He had 3.00 ERA in three games for both the AZL Cubs and Boise Hawks, going 0-2 overall.
