Rube Vinson played major league baseball from 1904-06, and was part of the 1906 Chicago White Sox who won the 1906 World Series. Although his last appearance on the field was on May 10, 1906, he is given a credit in a documentary about the 1906 World Series. www.imdb.com/title/tt0235067/
According to the SABR biography of Joe Cassidy, Vinson and Cassidy and Bris Lord all played on the amateur Highland Baseball Club in the area of Chester, PA in 1901.
He died at age 72 after a fall while washing a window. His obituary states that he broke in with Providence, and also played with Lowell, Harrisburg, and Danville before retiring in 1910.
