Royals Stadium was renamed Kauffman Stadium shortly before the death of Kansas City Royals owner Ewing Kauffman in 1993.
Kauffman Stadium has large lighted fountains in the outfield. Groundskeeper George Toma is known as one of the best groundskeepers in baseball and is called the Turf Doctor.
