Infielder Roy Nichols posted a .364 OBP in nine at-bats in the majors in 1944.
He was with Montreal in 1945. He later was a player-manager in the minors in the Dodgers organization.
His obituary stated he played professional ball for 12 years and worked for PPG Industries for 34 years.
