Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Ronnie Merrill was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the seventh round of the 2000 amateur draft and made his pro debut that summer with the Oneonta Tigers. He lated played in the Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Oakland Athletics, and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations. After hitting a career-best 13 homers with the Mobile BayBears in 2007, he became a free agent and signed with the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He played his final pro year in 2008.
