Biographical Information[edit]

In his debut, Ron Nischwitz pitched two perfect innings against the Baltimore Orioles, striking out three batters. In 1962, Nischwitz was the Detroit Tigers' most used reliever, appearing in 48 games. On November 27, 1962, he was traded by the Tigers with Gordon Seyfried to the Cleveland Indians for Bubba Phillips.

Head coach at Wright State University from 1975 to 2004.
