Roger Dean Stadium opened in 1998 and is currently the home of the Jupiter Hammerheads and the Palm Beach Cardinals of the Florida State League as well as the GCL Marlins. It is currently the only minor league stadiums to be home to multiple different clubs (one that had been at the same time as Roger Dean is Serdan Brothers Stadium). It was built as part of a state-of-the-art spring training complex shared by the St. Louis Cardinals and the Montreal Expos. It was one of the pieces of property that passed to the Florida Marlins when Expos owner Jeffrey Loria took possession of that team as part of the contraction attempt following the 2001 season.
