Roe Skidmore is a member of the 1.000 club. He got a base hit in his only career at bat, September 17, 1970 against the St. Louis Cardinals. The pitcher was Jerry Reuss.

While with Decatur in 1968, Skidmore led the Midwest League in both home runs and in RBI, although not in batting average, in which George Hendrick was the leader.

In 1972, while in the American Association, he led the league in RBI.

After his playing days, he went back to Decatur, IL to work.
