Rod Craig made his debut on September 11, 1979 for the Seattle Mariners and was the starting right fielder for most of the remainder of the season. He had an impressive showing, hitting .385 with 8 doubles in 52 at bats. He began the 1980 season as the Mariners' starting center fielder. He hit only .238 and after June 11th, did not appear in another game until September 4th. He resurfaced in short stints with the Cleveland Indians in 1982 and the Chicago White Sox in 1986.
